Roots:
I grew up in sunny Riviera Beach, a small city on South Florida’s coast. As a youngster I became bored easily. Each time I would say “I’m bored!” my grandmother would hand me a pen and paper and say, “use your imagination.” From there, imagination became a very important component in my life. Imagination kept me grounded, along with sports and family. At the age of 11 I was accepted into BAK Middle School of the Arts as a visual arts major. In high school I majored in commercial arts. I came to California to study graphic design at the University of the Pacific. During my time in college, I’ve had the opportunity to learn from experienced industry professionals to further develop my skill set in different mediums such as drawing, print-making, painting, and photography. The greatest lesson I’ve learned from this experience is how to reach people through art & design. |

Philosophy:
I believe that imagination and inspiration influences one to create "good" design. One can’t have a narrow view on what constitutes “good” design because the realms of imaginations and inspirations are infinite. As designers we are problem solvers. Everyday we aim to solve a different problem, each having a different solution. No two designers solve the same problem in the same way. However at the end of the day we all share a common objective, to communicate effectively through visual representation. Design is a beautiful and powerful tool. If one utilizes it to its full potential, any audience can be reached. |
